I was super appreciative for the tv show Bones tonight when the boys started asking about bones. Thanks to that show I was able to sound like I knew what I was talking about. We told them about the tibia, femur, phalanges, clavicle, patella, sternum, pelvis, and a few others. I told them about how I had broken my clavicle, and I even got to describe how. They know now not to play on their top bunk with too many siblings or one particular auntie. ;) Then we talked about bone remodeling.
It is funny how Chris can't seem to understand that when bones break they stay inside your body. Of course, I didn't tell him of the exceptions... Who wants to think about bones poking through your skin? I told him over and over that my bone stayed in my body the whole time it was broken, but to no avail.
Thank you, Bones! Zane Grey, news on the Internet, and television shows-- That's all you need to know a little bit about a lot of things. Life experience doesn't hurt, either. And a good memory.
Tomorrow is Tim's last day of work. I am so ready to have him home.
