Ilse's Room and a Boy Update

Here are some pictures of Ilse's room.  As you can see, I have a load of laundry to fold, and it is cluttering up her lovely chair.  Why is it that there always has to be a dumping place for random junk?

Bapaw and Auntie Dee painted this room the wonderful green we chose.  It's called Green Gecko.  We wanted something bright and happy, especially after the NICU experience.  It's interesting how God orders our choices in advance.... just like our stroller choice.

I love Ilse's furniture.

Auntie Kimberly got Ilse the scale.  :)  She is gaining weight!  On it she weighs 8 pounds 9 ounces.

Aunties Kimberly and Ivy brought Ilse these balloons at the NICU when they came to visit.  I saw Ilse looking at them the other day as she lay in her crib.

Dresses!!!!  And see the drawer container on the floor?  It's FULL of medical supplies.  Like Kim, I have a syringe collection, and also enough of those pink hospital containers to last me a lifetime.

Sometime Ilse will actually get to spend the night in her room.  For now, though, I just keep it lovely, add stuff to it, and put her in there for naps when I'm going to be (very) close by.

And for an update on the boys:

Joey and Bam-Bam recently BOTH had birthdays.  Now we have a five year old and a four year old.  I personally enjoyed the time when they were both four.  You should have seen the looks I got up at the NICU.  And one (dumb) lady (sorry, but it was ultra true) heard they were virtual twins, heard they were a week or so apart, and replied with......  "I didn't know you could do that in one pregnancy!"

I didn't bother explaining.

It meant a whole lot to me that Mamaw planned a BD party for Bam-Bam.  She orgnanized games and everything.  He had a great day, but I was sad I couldn't be there.  Tim got to go (the party was at Ivy's) and apparently someone took video!  I just discovered it today, but I haven't gotten to watch it yet.

I did go to Joey's birthday party.  It was also at Ivy's and coincided with a celebration that Ilse was home. 

I didn't get to see any of their presents, so I have pretty much no idea what they got.  I don't know whose is whose and what is what, and I don't know if they do either.  I'm so thankful to my family who helped with all of that while I was indescribably busy. 

I'm so proud of both my big boys, and I'm doubly happy that Joey knows how old he is.  That's an accomplishment!
