Well, I hate to say it, but we've changed our mind on the baby bedding. I know, I said I was getting the lovely one at Target by Jenny McCarthy, but it just ain't soft.
I have very, very sensitive skin, just like my mother, and I have to plan on Ilse having it too. Why on earth would I want to get her bedding that will be hard? Can you imagine having a lovely bed made up of cotton appliqued leaves and butterflies, BUT every time you roll over a leaf pokes you in the cheek? Nope. Not for me or for Ilse.
So, I'm going to have to go on a hunt. A bedding hunt... for the softest, most feminine bedding I've ever seen.
Wish me luck!
On a slightly different note, we went shopping this evening (just to look, mind you) at Buy Buy Baby. I'd never been in there before considering I generally avoided baby spots like the plague. I definitely enjoyed it though. I hadn't gone but ten feet when I saw the things I couldn't live without. Ilse won't be able to live without them either.
We got her a little pink crocheted teddy bear with little brown thread eyes. It's LOVELY.
We also got her a little sleepy outfit that is pink and brown. It has a charming little ruffle that I simply couldn't resist.
My first baby purchases. I'm satisfied.
I also saw the crib that I nearly couldn't resist, but I did, since it was over $600. Good grief! And you know what? It wasn't cherry. It was a vanilla color. I'm changing my mind constantly these days just like a female. What IS the world coming to.
Here is a link to the bedding that makes me wish we had a little girl...I love those colors!

ReplyDeleteI too am sensitive to bedding softness. I've even made a hotel once change my clean sheets out for another set because the one was rough. Good for you waiting for soft!
